Bristol Zoo Gardens is proud to announce the arrival of a baby pygmy hippo. The youngster, who has just been named Winnie, is three weeks old and joins parents Sirana and Nato in the pygmy hippo exhibit.

Bristol Zoo Gardens is appealing for extra help this spring and summer, as the busy season draws closer. The Zoo currently has around 250 volunteers who help around the Zoo and a further 40 volunteers are now being sought to help in various ways. Bristol Zoo Gardens is pleased to welcome a new female crowned lemur to the fold. Tiako (aptly named after the Malagasy word ‘to love’) arrives from Mulhouse Zoo in France on Valentine’s Day and will join male lemur Loko, who arrived at the Zoo just last week.
